As you can see from the graph above, it is clear that people prefer to go to the actual cinema rather than watch the movie at home. I understand this because you get more of a cinematic effect when you go to the cinema so it is an experience that you can enjoy. Plus, you're basically forced to sit down and watch the movie if you don't want to waste money. However if you are watching it at home, you can stop, pause and replay as many times as you want which is why some people also prefer to watch a film at home. Plus tickets can be a bit pricey nowadays especially when you're buying refreshments.
You can also see from the photo above that most people do buy refreshments at the cinema and tend to buy nachos instead of popcorn.There is also a variation of genres people like.
